As many of you know, the provincial government has been re-shaping the autism program in Ontario for the last 2 years.
The elements of the new Ontario Autism Program (OAP) have been identified and requests for proposals have been issued by the government for individual elements. Lumenus is part of a Toronto Network of autism providers who came together voluntarily to apply for funding and deliver services together.
Following the launch of Caregiver Mediated Early Years Services in June 2021, we are so pleased to let you know that the network’s application for the OAP Entry To School Program was selected by the ministry for service delivery in the Toronto Region. The Entry to School is a group based , skill building school readiness program which will help prepare children who are entering Kindergarten or Grade 1 for the first time.
