To our Lumenus Service Users:
During this COVID-19 pandemic, the safety of our staff and the families, youth, children and individuals we serve has been our priority.
When the pandemic began in March 2020 Lumenus quickly mobilized to deliver services to you virtually.
We will continue to offer a full-range of virtual services until further notice. We also provide limited in-person service options where needed.
If you have urgent care needs and require in-person service that cannot be addressed virtually please contact your service coordinator or our intake line to discuss service options.
These are not emergency services and if you are experiencing an emergency, please contact 911.
During this difficult time we want to ensure that you can connect with us, so please reach out and let us know what you need—our intake lines are open to serve you.
What to Expect On-Site
All clients who are visiting our sites must have an appointment and must wear PPE (face masks) while on-site.
You can expect that you will be asked to sanitize your hands and to complete a COVID 19 symptom screening questionnaire upon entry to our sites. Everyone will be asked to respect and follow physical distancing and other safety protocols while on-site.
You will find that all staff members are required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE), appropriate for the work they are doing, in accordance with public health guidelines and City of Toronto Bylaws. We have PPE, cleaning protocols, appropriate Plexiglas shields, policies and procedures in place to minimize the risk to you and our staff while on-site. We have also implemented training protocols for our staff for hand washing, cleaning and sanitizing of surfaces and equipment. The agency’s Infection Prevention and Control Monitoring Team monitors compliance with safety protocols regularly.
