About This Service
A workplace injury or traumatic event can affect more than your physical health. For many people, the emotional and psychological impacts can make it difficult to recover, manage daily responsibilities, and return to work with confidence. The WSIB Mental Health Program of Care supports individuals experiencing mental health challenges related to a workplace injury, traumatic event, or work-related psychological condition.
Through specialized assessment and treatment, our clinical team works with participants to build coping skills, improve emotional well-being, and support meaningful recovery. Services are tailored to individual needs and may help address concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma-related symptoms, stress, sleep difficulties, emotional regulation challenges, and worries about returning to work or resuming regular activities.

Every participant begins with a comprehensive assessment to better understand their experiences, strengths, challenges, and recovery goals. Based on this assessment, an individualized treatment plan is developed to support healing, improve day-to-day functioning, and help participants move forward with confidence.
This program may be appropriate for individuals who are experiencing:
- Anxiety, excessive worry, or panic symptoms
- Depression, low mood, or loss of motivation
- Trauma-related symptoms following a workplace incident
- Increased stress or difficulty coping with injury-related changes
- Sleep disturbances, irritability, or emotional regulation challenges
- Concerns about returning to work or resuming normal activities
If you have an active WSIB claim, our team can help determine whether this program is the right fit for your recovery journey. If you are unsure about eligibility, the referral process, or available supports, we encourage you to reach out. Even when this program is not the most appropriate option, we are committed to helping people understand their choices and connect with the services and resources that best meet their needs.
