Brief Services: Brief Counselling and What’s Up Walk In (WUWI)

The What’s Up Walk-In Clinic provides free, barrier-free counselling for children, youth, young adults, and families ages 0-26, offering timely support, practical strategies, and connections to additional services when needed.

About This Service

When you or your family are facing a challenge and need support right away, waiting for help can feel overwhelming. The What’s Up Walk-In Clinic provides barrier-free counselling for children, youth, young adults, and families ages 0-26, with no health card, referral, or fee required.

The program helps individuals and families address immediate concerns, build coping strategies, and take meaningful steps toward improved well-being.

Through solution-focused brief counselling, individuals and families can access timely support for a wide range of emotional, behavioural, mental health, and life challenges. Services are offered in person at Lumenus locations in Etobicoke and North Toronto, with minimal wait times in most cases. Counsellors work collaboratively with clients to identify strengths, explore solutions, and develop practical strategies that can be applied right away. When additional support is needed, staff can also help connect individuals and families to other appropriate services and resources. By providing accessible and responsive care, the clinic helps people get support when they need it most.
