On behalf of the Lumenus Board of Directors, I would like to announce a change in the executive leadership team, Lydia Sai-Chew has left Lumenus and I know you will join us in wishing her well in her future opportunities. The Board of Directors has appointed Cheryl Webb in the role of Interim Chief Executive Officer at Lumenus Community Services (“Lumenus”), effective May 1, 2023.

Cheryl was the COO of Lumenus and was also the former CEO of Adventure Place. She brings more than 20 years of experience within the sector, and holds a masters degree in social work. Cheryl has been leading the agency’s day to day operations since inception and has been closely involved with the integration, operational and strategic initiatives.

We want to thank Lydia for more than a decade of working with Lumenus Community Services, Skylark Youth Families, and Oolagen. During her tenure, Lydia led two agency mergers, with the most recent being an unprecedented merger of four agencies. Lydia’s deep sector knowledge and collaborative leadership style was integral during the mergers while navigating the integration in the wake of the COVID 19 pandemic. She planted the seeds for a client centred-culture that values diversity and equity-driven decision making. Her work at Lumenus has paved the way for the agency to continue to build capacity, broaden the continuum of care, and improve the client experience.

The Board is committed to moving forward and supporting the building of a unified Lumenus that is strong, agile and sustainable.
